The Heat Wave

Now, when I came to Australia I was expecting it to be warm, especially in Summer. However, when I arrived I was fairly fortunate and we had nice warm weather without it getting too silly. It all changed though.

Adelaide has just had the longest heat wave of any city in Australia. That means 16 consecutive days that were 35 degrees or warmer. I believe it peaked at 42.1. I'm all for hot, but that's just silly. The news said that it is a once in 3,000 year event. So apparently I was here for a piece of history.

Thanks God for air con!
