Work: Surgeons
It's been a bit of a month of work, so I don't really have anything exciting to tell you. However, I thought I might show you some pictures of what I actually do over here.
This month we had International Surgical Week 2009. It was 1,500 surgeons from all over the world coming together for education and fun. Our job was to undertake the trade exhibition, sponsorship and the social functions. The trade exhibition isn't very exciting so I won't show you any pictures of that, but the social functions weren't too bad.
Our main function was the Outback Night. Since we had people from all over the world, we went with Australiana. It meant I was able to be a tourist too!!!!
Here are a bunch of pics.
I have no idea from where Australia is 16,776km.
This is the general feel of the room. In the foreground is a reproduction Opal Mine.
We managed to get 4 joey kangaroos, 2 joey ring tail possums, 2 snakes and a buzzard for people to have a look at. I tried to steal this kangaroo, but apparently that wasn't aloud. He is only 5 months old, and so cute.
Here is the event in full swing. The bush band provided most of the entertainment.
