Last night I was taken to my first live AFL game. Adelaide Crows versus Geelong. However, it seems my support doesn't really benefit Adelaide and I helped them to a crushing 124-56 defeat.
On the plus side we did have great seats though. Thanks to Adam's workmate we were sitting in the front row right behind the north goals. It means getting to see some pretty close action, however it also means that you have to beware of getting hit in the head by a ball following a goal. This wasn't really a big deal when Adelaide were kicking to our end though!
My player scored one goal and took a few good marks. I should point out I didn't actually choose a favourite player, but Adam thinks I should have one so I've been given Porplyzia.
Unfotunately I didn't have my camera with me so I can't show you what 47,233 fans look like when their team have just been hammered. Nor can I show you the weird Geelong cheer squad that we were sat next to all night. Maybe I'll remember it next time - if there is a next time, I might not be allowed back.
