I've been pretty lazy in updating again, but that's mainly because I haven't really been up to much.
Although I do have a new job. I am back to being a fundraiser. My official title is Community Campaign Co-ordinator for the Women's & Children's Hospital Foundation. It seems I can't seem to work anywhere with a short name! I've been there less than two weeks so my brain still hurts from all the information I'm taking in, but it's all good fun and I think it's going to be my best move yet.
This weekend was probably the busiest we've had in a while. We spent Friday night at a burlesque show as part of the Adelaide Cabaret Festival. It was possibly the strangest night of my life. There were a few middle aged women, a lot of techno music, some very odd burlesque and some very disturbing routines. It would take too long - and probably too much therapy - for me to go into detail about the night, but suffice to say it was truly odd.
On Sunday we went to the Sea and Vines Festival in McLaren Vale. I guess a seafood and wine festival is 50% wasted on me. Oddly I don't remember seeing any seafood at the festival either. So for me it was a coffee and sausage sizzle festival, but that's good too. The next food and wine festival trip to the Barossa in August is already at the planning stage!
Unfortunately life isn't that exciting at the moment, so there isn't that much to update.
One thing I will say is that the emails from the other side of the world have slowed down a bit over the last couple of months!!! I expect to see some more soon.
